Director of Astarte and professional numismatist since 1978, during his career he has contributed to forming public and private collections all over the world.

Author of numerous texts and studies, he has also written and collaborated with prestigious museums such as the British Musem, The Berlin State Museums, and the Hermitage. He created the Numismatic Museum of the Banca Agricola Mantovana Foundation, of which he was curator for 6 years.

He has been involved in the organisation of a large number of exhibitions and events such as, for example, Monete Arte Storia, a grandiose exhibition on coins and medals held in Mantua in 1995, with over 75,000 visitors. In 2024, he was responsible for the scientific project of the permanent exhibition ‘Nell'Oro Impressa’ in Palazzo Ducale, Mantua, Italy, concerning the coins and medals of Mantua and the Gonzaga family owned by Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena. He is organising public auctions since 1988. Thanks to its expertise and experience, Astarte offers all the services related to collector coins, investment coins and works of art.
